Specialist Leak Testing Solutions

Our leak test solutions range from bench-mounted high-pressure fixtures to fully automatic, multi-component transfer lines.

Pressure decay testing provides a controlled method for checking sealed components, while underwater leak testing uses dunk tanks to identify escaping air.

With more than 40 years of specialist engineering experience, our mechanical, electrical and software engineers design systems around your component and testing requirements.

Capabilities include:

  • Pressure decay machine testing
  • Underwater leak testing using dunk tanks
  • Vacuum decay leak testing
  • Automated component handling
  • Multi-component testing
  • Aluminium casting leak testing
  • Integration with production lines

All equipment is designed and manufactured at our UK facility, with in-house manufacturing and facilities supporting development through to implementation. Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity and specification of each project. Get in touch and we can provide an estimated timeframe.

What We Do

Leak test solutions can form part of a much wider production project. With extensive in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities, Rivercircle can support other stages of development and production too. Explore our related services below to see how we can support your wider project requirements.

Process Automation & Special-Purpose Machines

  • Bespoke production machinery, automated handling, vision inspection and component verification systems designed around specific manufacturing processes.

Multi-Component Assembly

  • Automated assembly equipment for multi-product components, including automatic feeding and handling systems. We also develop dedicated machinery for suspension components and anti-vibration mount bush assembly.

Multi-Cavity Rubber Moulding Tools

  • We design and manufacture rubber moulding tools in-house, from single-cavity moulds to complex multi-cavity and rubber-to-metal-bonded component tooling with detailed 3D surface forms.

Sub-Contract Precision Machining

  • CNC precision machining for components and fixture tooling assemblies, manufactured to customer drawings and specifications. Prototype and production machining are available, with quick turnaround where required.

Mould Tool Repair Services

  • In-house mould tool repair, modification and refurbishment, including cavity repairs, replacement components, heater replacement and flashing repairs to help restore existing tooling.

Leak Testing Design and Development

We offer leak testing solutions by taking projects from an idea through to a working machine, with design and development handled in-house. The team considers how each component needs to be presented, sealed and tested, developing fixtures and machinery to deliver consistent results throughout the production cycle.

Leak testing equipment can be developed for individual components or incorporated into wider automated processes. Depending on the application, systems can include dedicated test stations, component loading and unloading, automated handling and controls for managing the testing sequence.

Why Choose Rivercircle for Leak Test Solutions

Founded in 1983, Rivercircle is an independent UK engineering company with over 40 years of experience designing and manufacturing bespoke engineering solutions for clients across the UK and internationally. Our in-house engineers work closely with our manufacturing team to develop leak test solutions built around your exact specifications, from pressure decay leak test machines to underwater dunk tank systems. We have particular expertise in the fixturing, clamping and sealing of parts, an area that is integral to achieving reliable test results.

Our wider capabilities include precision machining, component assembly, multi-cavity rubber moulding tools, automated handling and special-purpose machinery, allowing us to support every stage of your production project under one roof. With design, manufacture, assembly and prove-out facilities in-house and very little work subcontracted, we retain full control over quality and timeframes, taking projects from initial concept through to a finished, fully tested system. All of this is backed by our ISO 9001:2015 certification.

FAQs

Pressure decay testing introduces air or another test gas into a sealed component and monitors for a drop in pressure, while vacuum decay leak testing draws the component below atmospheric pressure and monitors for changes in the vacuum. The most suitable method depends on the component and test requirements.
