Automated Assembly Machines

Rivercircle designs and manufactures automated assembly machines for efficient component assembly and testing. From semi-automatic systems to fully automated assembly lines, our bespoke machines can incorporate component feeding, handling, assembly, inspection and testing. By keeping the process in-house, we have full control over the project which translates to a truly tailored approach that suits your products and timelines.

Continuous investment

From concept design through to final development, our in-house design departments of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers provide full support to the modern manufacturing, assembly and prove out facilities.

Continuous investment in the latest design and manufacturing technologies with integrated CAD/CAM systems enable full three dimensional machining of complex forms to be undertaken.

Our many customers include some of the worlds largest automotive manufacturing groups, pharmaceutical, foundries, rubber moulding, thermal transfer, food and white goods manufacturers.

Automated Assembly Equipment

We design and manufacture bespoke automated assembly machines at our UK facility, supporting manufacturers with everything from individual assembly stations to fully automated production lines. Our systems can combine component feeding, robotic handling, pressing, inspection and testing to create a repeatable, efficient assembly process.

Depending on your requirements, solutions can include:

  • Automated robot assembly systems for component handling and assembly
  • Press-fit assembly machines for controlled, consistent component insertion
  • Servo press assembly systems when precise force and position control is needed
  • Special-purpose press-fit solutions designed around specific components or production requirements

Our engineers work alongside our manufacturing team to design, build and prove out each machine in-house. With more than 40 years of engineering experience, we use the latest CAD/CAM and automation technology to deliver reliable equipment. Turnaround times vary by machine complexity, with timelines agreed during the design and quotation process.

What We Do

We can take care of the supporting engineering work too, with in-house expertise spanning machining, tooling, leak testing, inspection and process automation. For projects involving automated assembly machines, this means more of the work can be designed, built and tested by the same team.

Process Automation & Special-Purpose Machinery

  • Bespoke automated handling, assembly and production machinery developed around your components and production process.
  • Vision inspection, component verification and automated handling can be incorporated into a wider assembly system where required.

Integrated Leak Testing

  • Pressure decay and underwater leak testing systems, from standalone fixtures through to fully automated transfer lines.
  • Leak testing can be integrated with automated assembly and handling processes to create a more complete production solution.

Precision Machining & Fixture Manufacture

  • CNC precision machining for components, fixtures and tooling assemblies manufactured to your drawings and specifications.
  • Prototype and production machining available through Rivercircle’s in-house manufacturing facilities, including projects requiring a quick turnaround.

Specialist Mould Tooling

  • In-house manufacture of multi-cavity rubber moulding tools, including complex tooling and rubber-to-metal-bonded component moulds.
  • Existing mould tools can also be repaired or refurbished, including cavity repairs, replacement components, heater replacement and flashing repairs.

From Design to Automated Assembly

Every automated assembly project starts with understanding the component, production process and requirements. Our engineering team develops bespoke machine designs using the latest 3D CAD technology, considering factors such as component feeding, handling, assembly sequence, access and quality control from the start.

The resulting equipment can range from semi-automatic assembly stations to fully automated systems, with robotic handling, pressing, inspection and testing integrated where required.

Machines are manufactured and assembled before being thoroughly tested and proved out to ensure the system performs as intended. This joined-up approach means mechanical, electrical and software engineering can be coordinated throughout the project, helping to create efficient automated assembly machines designed around your production needs.

Why Choose Rivercircle for Automated Assembly Machines

Established in 1983, we have more than 40 years of experience delivering complete, purpose-built engineering solutions for clients across the UK and internationally.

Rather than supplying off-the-shelf equipment, we design and manufacture all automated assembly machines to each customer's exact specifications.

Every stage of a project, from design and build to assembly and trials, is handled by our own specialists on site. By keeping this work within our own facility, we retain full control over quality and timescales.

Our capabilities include precision machining, tooling, leak testing, component inspection and multi-component assembly, all managed under one roof. With integrated 3D CAD/CAM technology used throughout, we provide a joined-up service from initial concept through to machine build and testing.

FAQs
