This semi-automatic machine was designed and manufactured by Rivercircle Ltd for the simultaneous leak testing of 3 large automotive components. The components are hand loaded into their respective station via a sliding drawer, and clamped with hydraulic cylinders, sealing the components. The machine then follows the set test procedure, submerging the test fixture into the tank for leak testing. In this instance, our customer specification required a visual check for leaks at a test pressure of 6.0 Bar absolute (600 kPa). Failures are either identified by the operator or by a gross leak sensed automatically. This equipment is more commonly supplied with pressure decay test equipment, submerging only failing components to visually identify the root of the failure. Such equipment allows testing with greatly reduced test pressures, identification of much smaller leak rates and can provide a record of test results. |
